Take HWY 20 West through Fairfield.

Continue on HWY 20 towards Mountain Home.

Do not take the Pine/Featherville exit! 

Take a right at the exit for Anderson Dam/Prairie (13 miles after Pine exit).

After 5 miles you will drive over the dam, turn left and drive along the South Fork of the Boise River.

Stay right of the Boise River – do not cross it.

Veer right at the “Y” – 11 miles past the dam.  Wind your way up and out of the canyon.

On top of the prairie, follow the road past several cattle ranches.

Turn left onto Prairie Road (do not take a right on Ireland Road to Pine).

You will start to see signs for the Y-Stop General Store.

Take another left onto Long Gulch Road.

Stay right on Long Gulch Road and drive past the Y-Stop General Store.

From the Y-Stop General Store go 8 miles, cross a 1 lane bridge and veer left and continue down Long Gulch Canyon.

Take a right after the second bridge and follow the Middle Fork of the Boise River.

4 miles to Twin Springs!
